Last year, the pension fund planned to raise its commitments to Pathway Capital to $800 million from the initially planned $700 million, to put an higher-than-anticipated amount of cash distributions to work and to capture new funds out in the market, Dow Jones reported July. The Valley Springs Softball League is taking registration for the 2015 season. Registration fees are $70 per player, or $65 for each additional player in the same family. All fees and registration forms need to be received no later than Feb. 7 to avoid a $25 late fee. Birth certificates are required for new players. There will be registration and skills clinics on Jan. 17 and 24, and Feb. 7 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Valley Springs Veterans Field. Check in will be at the snack bar, rain or shine.
